Chalfont St Peter manager Danny Edwards has warned Glossop North End: 'Our secret weapon will send us to Wembley'.

Edwards' side drew 3-3 with Glossop in the first leg of their FA Vase Semi-Final showdown and, ahead of their do-or-die return clash with the Derbyshire outfit on Saturday, he has sought some much-needed advice from a former Finalist.

"Steve Ringrose took Hillingdon Borough to The Vase Final in 2006, so I've been asking him about how to get past the Semi-Final," said Edwards.

"He's given me a few ideas, mainly about keeping focused and not feeling any pressure."

Hillingdon were left heartbroken by Nantwich in the 2006 Final as Ringrose's side lost 3-1 but Edwards believes he can learn a lot from his managerial counterpart.

"It's always good to get advice and it will definitely help us," he said.

"We are not even thinking about going out at this stage now - nobody remembers the Semi-Finalists."

Chalfont may have felt they had one foot already in this season's Final as they led 3-1 with just 17 minutes to go in the first leg last weekend, but Dave Hodges and Rick Bailey saved Glossop's skin and snatched a draw in a thrilling encounter.

Edwards' men could be forgiven for feeling low after the late setback, but he insists they are confident and raring to go ahead of the second leg decider.

"We are not down - we were frustrated we did not do ourselves justice in the first leg but all we want to do is get straight back out on the field and show everyone what we can do," he explained.

"It was disappointing not to make home advantage count but now we are going to their place, all the pressure is on them now - let's see how they deal with it.

"There will be goals in the match I am sure. We have shown we are a good side and we are all confident we can do the business."
