Aston Villa legend Brian Little knows football inside out and insists there is nothing worse than losing.
The Gainsborough Trinity manager has bundles of experience having played at the highest level and managing clubs such as Leicester City, Hull City, Wolves, Tranmere and Aston Villa.
But after a poor start to his Trinity side's league campaign - picking up just four league wins from 18 - Little insists they are now on the up and a trip to North Ferriby United in The FA Trophy this weekend, could get their season back on track.
"There's nothing worse than losing a football match," he said. "Since I've been at the club, I've told the players not to miss the day. It's not good to go home after a match and think that you could have done better.
"We haven't had a good start to the season, sometimes that's football. If you get off to a bad start then it's sometimes hard to get off a run. However, recent performances have been good and we look a better side.
"We feel we can win every game at the moment, there is a good mentality at the club. If we start winning, especially Saturday, then we can look forward to a good cup run."
Gainsborough make the trip to Grange Lane to face North Ferriby United, who play in the Northern Premier League, a league below Trinity. But Little isn't taking anything for granted.
He added: "We're really looking forward to the game, but I know that they are a really good side. I used to watch them when I was Hull manager as they're set up just across the road. They've a lot of pace and ability.
"We have to take each game at a time and tomorrow will be a really good match, and a place I am particularly looking forward to travelling to."
