Scots Grey FC booked their place in The Final of The FA Sunday Cup after a tense victory over Lakeside Athletic.

With testing conditions and a swirling wind, both teams struggled to get a hold of the ball early on. A place in The Final was up for grabs and by the looks on the players' faces, you could sense it.

Chris Murdock came closet to breaking the deadlock in the first half but his stinging drive cannoned off the crossbar as Scots began to press.

The crowd at the Hucknall Town FC ground looked on as both sides battled for a place in the Anfield Final and if it wasn't for the heroics of Scot's goalkeeper Ross Whalin, Lakeside could have realised their dream.

But the plaudits will go to Andrew Frawley after his brilliant drive sailed into the back of the net six minutes from time.

It proved to be the difference between the teams. Whalin was beaten in the 91st minute but the crossbar came to his rescue.

Scots' manager Steve Osborne said: "I am delighted, absolutely over the moon. We were brilliant today. Andy scored a cracking goal and it's a fantastic feeling to get to The Final."

The Final will take place at Anfield on 26 April.
