"It has been absolutely tremendous for us to reach the First Round Proper," said Terry Lynes, club secretary.
"For a long time people have been talking about the last time we reached the First Round which was Cambridge United in 1977, so it is great to update that record.
"The whole place is buzzing about and it has been great to see the excitement of The FA Cup spread through the town."
Lowestoft Town were promoted to the Isthmian Division One North for the first time in their history last season and currently sit fifth, but with their success in the cups this season, they already have five games in hand on some clubs.
This is Lowestoft Town's sixth visit to the First Round Proper of The Cup but they have never been any further in the competition, which is something they are hoping to put right when they travel to Wrexham. That will not be easy, though, with their Welsh opponents three divisions higher than them in the Conference.
"There is a good spirit within the camp and the players are all keen to have a go," stated Lynes.
"A lot of the players have come up through the youth system although we made five or six signings from Conference North sides in the summer and they have helped to inspire the younger players."
On the prospect of facing Wrexham, Lynes added: "Although they are no longer a Football League side, we still consider them a big draw. It is our Cup Final and we will be the underdogs, but we hope to turn them over and do all of our followers proud."
