Luton Town know the road to Wembley better than most given their glorious Cup history.

Winners of the 1988 League Cup and runners-up in the 1959 FA Cup, the Hatters have a good pedigree when it comes to knockout competition.

Few will forget the emotional scenes at the Home of Football last April as Town recorded a fabulous 3-2 victory over Scunthorpe to win the Football League Trophy.

Over 40,000 Hatters fans packed into the stadium to witness an epic battle which was won by Claude Gnapka's extra-time winner.

It was a sweet moment for Luton, who failed in their valiant attempt to stay in the Football League after being hit with a 30 point deduction.

While the drop into non-League football may have been painful at first, Kenilworth Road is positively rocking under the guidance of new manager Richard Money.

Crowds are on the increase, finances are secure and the football has got everybody talking following the team's encouraging start to the season.

With the off-field problems sorted, there is little surprise that Cambridge manager Martin Ling recently tipped Town for an instant return to League fotball.

Victory over League Two Rochdale in The FA Cup First Round was well deserved after Kevin Gallen's double gave Money's men victory at Spotland.

Luton have yet to taste defeat since Money replaced Mick Harford in the dug-out in late October and have lost just once in their past ten games.

Now, they face a Rotherham side who are flying high at the top of League Two for a place in the Third Round Proper and a chance of drawing one of the big boys.

In January 2008, Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road after a heroic performance by the men in white. Rotherham can expect a tough test againt a Town side currently sitting seventh in the Conference and within touching distance of the play-offs.

And manager Money is in confident mood ahead of the trip to the Don Valley Stadium with his men hoping to pull off yet another giantkilling.

"It will be a tough game for us," he said.  "It will be very similar to Rochdale - they are of a similar standard to them so we can take confidence from our result against Rochdale.

"One plus point of having our game postponed on Tuesday was that I got to see Rotherham live and believe me it will be difficult.

"They are equally equipped as Rochdale but we have to go there with full belief that we can get into the Third Round draw.

"We know we're going to have to play well to get through against a good side on a difficult pitch."
