Bedworth United have given York City food for thought ahead of their FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying tie on Saturday - the Warwickshire club reckon they've uncovered a match-winning diet.

Bedworth will travel up to Yorkshire on Friday looking to spring a shock against Conference Premier League side York and club secretary Graham Bloxham reckons a good night's kip and some much-needed fuel will help Liam O'Neill's side.

"We are definitely going to enjoy ourselves," he said.

"Once we have travelled up there and got settled at the hotel, we'll have some soup and sandwiches before getting an early night.

"Then the following morning we'll be up for breakfast and then a pre-match meal ahead of the game."

With a lucrative place in the First Round Proper at stake, Southern Division One Midlands side Bedworth are eager not to fall at the final hurdle.

York may lie sixth in the Conference Premier but as The Cup has consistently shown throughout its 138-year history, an upset or two is never too far round the corner.

"It's The FA Cup, so you never know," added Bloxham.

"Our manager has really raised the confidence of the side and the players look sharp in training. We are the little fish on Saturday but after getting this far, it's all about fighting tooth and nail to go further."

"Their past history shows the difference in size between the two clubs. It wasn't long ago when they beat Manchester United in the League Cup either.

"In the 20 years I have been club secretary at Bedworth; it is most certainly the biggest game we have had."
