Bath City cruised into this weekend's FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying in a style befitting of a club that has reached the Third Round Proper of the world's oldest competition no fewer than six times.

In the past, they have come across the likes of Stoke City, Cardiff City and Peterborough United in The FA Cup and, after a turbulent time in recent years, the club are now looking to create some new Cup memories.

After a thumping 4-1 victory at Bishop's Cleeve in the last round and a straightforward 5-0 defeat of Willand Rovers before that, Bath are well on track to achieve their target of reaching at least the First Round this season.

On Saturday, they host AFC Totton, the Southern League Division One South & West side who play three levels below them, and manager Adie Britton is confident of setting up a potential money-spinning tie in the next round.

"I'm well aware of our reputation in Cup competitions and we have a massive history for a non-League club," said Britton.

"It would be fantastic for us to get into the First Round Proper. We have a lot to live up to in terms of our pedigree.

"As a manager, I have never gone beyond this stage so now is the time to make some new memories."

They may currently be sitting 13th in the Conference South, but Bath hold the enviable record of being the only semi-professional club to win the Football League trophy, when they triumphed as Division Two champions during the Second World War.

Britton, though, is fully focussed on the present and he added: "We have had quite an easy passage so far, but Totton are a decent side so we can't just turn up at Twerton Park expecting to win."
