Curtis Weston, at 17 years 119 days, is the youngest player to feature in an FA Cup Final. He substituted for Millwall's Dennis Wise against Manchester United three minutes from the end of the 2004 Final at Millennium Stadium.

Weston's record will remain intact tomorrow - but Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey, at 17 years 143 days, could become the youngest player to WIN an FA Cup Final.

Weston's Millwall lost 3-0 to United and the previous youngest player, James Prinsep, was also on the losing side. Prinsep, who was born in India and once saved a man from drowning, played for Clapham Rovers in the 1879 Final. Rovers lost 1-0 to the Old Etonians at Kennington Oval.

Currently the youngest Cup winner is Paul Allen, who won it with West Ham United in 1980 at 17 years 256 days. Hammers beat Arsenal 1-0 with Trevor Brooking's header and no team from outside the top flight has lifted The Cup since then.

So it is Allen's record that is in Aaron Ramsey's sights tomorrow. But he could also become the youngest scorer in an FA Cup Final, a record held by Manchester United's Norman Whiteside at 18 years 19 days. He scored United's second against Brighton & Hove Albion in the 1983 replay.
