The four year deal marks a significant investment for the brand and adds to Carlsberg’s already impressive portfolio of football sponsorships which include official beer of the England team and official sponsors of The FA Cup.

The deal includes stadium pouring rights, which will see approximately three million pints of Carlsberg served over the course of a year.

Carlsberg will also be able to offer tickets to all events taking place in the stadium including the FA Cup Final, England Internationals and music events.

To mark the announcement Carlsberg were joined today at Wembley Stadium by current England player Ledley King and 1966 World Cup legend Martin Peters MBE.

Tottenham and England star King said: "I’ve only been involved with England since 2002 which means I’ve never actually played at Wembley as a member of the England Senior Team. I’m really looking forward to it, from what I can see, the stadium already looks fantastic."

Ex-England player and 1966 legend Peters said: "Playing at Wembley was the highlight of my career. This new stadium will undoubtedly provide the venue for many other highlights for footballers and fans from across the globe."

To celebrate the partnership Carlsberg are producing 90,000 limited edition Official Beer Wembley Stadium bottles which will give Carlsberg drinkers an opportunity to own a piece of history.
