The FA is seeking to recruit a Head of Corporate Communications.
The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England and is responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels from grass roots through to the Professional Game, The FA Cup and the England International Teams.
It is a multi-faceted group organisation including
Wembley Stadium and the
St. Georges Park national football centre.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for communicating the organisation's strategy. Key responsibilities include managing all external communications of The FA Board and Council meetings, leading on the organisation of The FA’s 150th Anniversary programme in 2013 with the Director of Communications and promotion of the National Game at grassroots level.
You will also work closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs to promote our CSR programme and delivering internal communications.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in communications at a strategic level and will bring a fresh, creative approach to promoting the wider work of The FA. With a strong understanding of football, you will also hold well established connections with a range of first-rate media contacts including senior editorial figures.
Experience of working closely with and advising senior figures on a range of matters in a fast-paced environment, with numerous stakeholders is important. A team player, you will also have strong people management skills to motivate and drive high performance.
Based at Wembley Stadium, you will be expected to travel abroad when necessary. This role is not working directly with the England teams, although your support will be required from time to time.
