Regional Coach Development Manager

A vacancy has arisen in the North-West area.

A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Coach Development Manager in the North West region to support the development of coaches who work with in the National Game with 5-11 year old children.

Key responsibilities include:-

• Managing The FA Skills Regional programme.
• In-service support and mentoring for The FA Skills programme.
• Supporting  Regional & CFA FACA and Coach Education programme.
• Working with relevant Football Development staff to develop and deliver age specific 5-11  Coach Development programmes for teachers and coaches, including FA Courses.
• Support and develop age appropriate tutors.
• In-service support for primary school teachers.
• In-service support to Football in the Community coaches.
• In service support to community coaches, and any one working with 5-11 age groups.
• Ensuring that coaches and players are introduced to the skill development value of Futsal.
• Developing relationships with Academy/ Centres of Excellence to encourage support to grassroots football –establishing player and coach pathway.
• Delivering age appropriate Girls' Centre of Excellence in-service programme.
• Delivering age appropriate Disability Centre of Excellence in service programme.
• Developing in-service training to develop best practice in developing 5-11 players for Charter Standard Clubs.
• Delivering county coaches association events.
• Assisting with production of FA Resources.e.g. books/DVDs/online materials/FACA articles.

The successful candidate will need to possess the following:-
- UEFA B Coaching Licence.
- FA Coach Educator.
- Qualifications and/or experience in a child related profession. e.g. child development, child psychology, social psychology, educational  psychology, primary education, growth and development.
- Sensitive to development needs of young players.
- Experience of grassroots football.
- Experience in player development.
- Experience in coach education.
- Team/Player coaching experience.
- Work as a team member, but have ability to work independently.
- Work strategically to develop delivering partners.
- Experience of developing young player/coach –related programme.
- Modern, progressive approach to coaching and learning.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of FA LTPD-4 corner model.
