Football Development Administrator

The FA are recruiting for a Football Development Administrator.

A vacancy has arisen for a Football Development Administrator (Ref: FDA/FD/0308). This role will provide PA / Secretarial Support to the Regional Coaching Development team (North), support all administrative and support organisational aspects of the Tesco Skills programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • PA / Secretarial support to the Senior Regional Coach Development Manager & 3 Regional Coach Managers
  • Administering Regional Coach Development courses, festivals and events, including booking venues, liaison with students, mail-out of course details etc
  • Administering the production of relevant coaching publications and resources
  • Admin support by aiding with: diary management, arranging key meetings and events; booking travel and accommodation;
  • Typing of correspondence, reports, coaching practices etc; production of Powerpoint presentations
  • Processing of related invoices and expense claims for North coaching region
  •   Liaising with internal departments to handle new Skills coach recruits

The successful candidate will need to possess the following:

  • Significant experience within an administrative role
  • Prior experience working in a support function for a busy team
  • Prior experience working in a customer / client facing role
  • Excellent and confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills including, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • A willing and flexible approach
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • Helpful, willing, flexible team player with a "can do" attitudeAbility to multi-task and handle/prioritise a busy work schedule
  • Knowledge of grassroots football particularly with regards to coaching and experience of organising/co-ordinating events are all highly desirable

Position based in Soho Square, prior to the move to Wembley Stadium in August 2009.
