The FA has been undertaking a review to ensure that all agents have the required insurance in place to cover their professional activity.

As a result of this exercise, The FA has had to withdraw the licences of 25 players' agents who have failed to lodge insurance details with The FA.

Under the FA Regulations that govern their activities, agents are required to maintain professional indemnity insurance cover. Despite a number of requests from The FA to provide the required information, and a final deadline of 12 December, the 25 agents have not provided the necessary confirmation.

Should these agents wish to resume their activities, they will be required to reapply for a licence.
