At the FA Council Summer meeting in Cambridge, Barry Bright and Dave Henson were re-elected onto The FA Board representing the National Game. Michael Game (Essex FA) was elected to replace Ray Kiddell who retired through age.

Barry Bright was also elected as National Game Vice-Chairman.

Lord Mawhinney and David Sheepshanks were confirmed as Football League representatives on The FA Board.
