Following confirmation of the World Cup draw on Friday, everyone wanting to see England play will now be eagerly looking for information regarding ticket availability. The situation with World Cup tickets is as follows:
England, like the other participating countries, will get 8% of saleable stadium capacity for our matches. This is different to actual capacity.
FIFA will inform The FA of exactly how many tickets we are due to receive for each match. We have told FIFA that we would be willing to take any extra tickets that become available from our opponents.
As with Euro 2004 and 2002 World Cup, The FA are only selling tickets to members of englandfans.
The capacity of englandfans+ has been limited at 25,000 to allow reasonable access to tickets and we reached this total in the summer.
70% of tickets will be allocated on a loyalty basis, 30% via a random ballot.
People who apply to join englandfans are subject to background checks. The FA will also conduct a new round of checks before distributing tickets.
Stay logged on to TheFA.com for further information as and when we get it.
