For the first time ever, the England v Portugal game at Villa Park on the 7th September will be accompanied by a programme in braille and large print.

As part of the ongoing commitment by The Football Association to make the game as accessible as possible to all fans the F.A. have recently begun work in conjunction with the Royal National Institute of the Blind.

Visually impaired fans have long suffered because of a lack of awareness of their needs. Football programmes have rarely considered the effect that design, colour and print size have on visually impaired supporters.

This season all Senior England home internationals will be accompanied by a programme to help visually impaired supporters.

There are over 1.5 million adults in this country and a recent NOP survey showed that 40% of UK adults regularly attend football matches, so we hope that these new programmes will meet a growing demand.

The price of each programme will be £4 and they are available by calling Jonathan Arana on 020 7745 4707 or e-mailing jonathan.arana@thefa.com with your contact details.
