Reporting abuse online
Make sure you know how to report online abuse.
The CEOP Centre has a unique reporting facility whereby children and young people, their parents (on their child's behalf) and other organisations can report any instances of inappropriate online sexual contact to specialist police officers at CEOP.
Using the 'CEOP Report' button at the bottom of this page, users can gain immediate access to advice and guidance on issues they may have concerns about, as well as the actual reporting form. Since the launch of the reporting function, over 5,000 reports have been received by CEOP. Once received, the reports are assessed and contact is made with the person who has made the report.
If there is a need for the local police force to be involved in order to investigate further, the CEOP Centre will forward as much information as possible and advise the person reporting what will happen next.
