In the closing ceremony, FIFA Vice President Jack Warner paid tribute to The FA and Chairman Geoff Thompson for delivering on the co-operation agreement signed by The FA and CONCACAF in 2000.

Warner said: "The FA has shown it is serious about its partnership with CONCACAF and this seminar is vital to help us continue to grow the game of football in our region - I'd like to thank our guests and Mr Geoff Thompson."

The seminar included presentations and workshops from The FA, the BBC World Service and Patrick Barclay, the Sunday Telegraph columnist, who wrote yesterday in praise of The FA's work, saying that "world football is a family - one in which The FA, at last, are fully integrated."

Former England manager Graham Taylor also took part and was announced as Technical Consultant to the Trinidad and Tobago national team who are currently part way through their qualifying campaign for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

This was the final initiative in the region for 2004 but other projects being organised by the International Relations team before the end of the year include two referees workshops in Africa and a visit to England by the Korean FA, who are undertaking a study of English refereeing practices.

Here are some of the stories written by delegates on the seminar:
