The FA is pleased to help BBC Radio Five Live in the 2004 Shirt Amnesty. Football fans around the country are encouraged to donate their old kits to grateful recipients around the globe.
The event follows on from the success of the 2003 shirt amnesty in which 25,000 shirts last year. The FA, helped by ambassadors Gary Mabbutt and Viv Anderson, distributed these kits in South during a goodwill visit.

This year The BBC and The FA are hoping to collect even more shirts. These will then be given to less privileged football fans in South Africa, Kenya and possibly Nigeria.
The FA sees the initiative as a classic way of football being used to make a positive difference. Jane Bateman, Head of International Relations said "The FA is delighted to be involved in the Five Live Shirt Amnesty.
"We know from our own experience of working overseas – particularly in the less developed countries from the world – how much a simple donation of a football shirt or a football is appreciated".
