FA team head to Kuala Lumpur

John Peacock and Ian Blanchard to lend their expertise.

Various FA staff will be heading to Malaysia over the next few weeks to instruct at the biggest ever Elite Education Seminar hosted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The event focuses on the provision of instructors for the AFC’s Elite Instructor Seminars which take place in January and February of each year at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur and forms part of the Memorandum of Understanding between The FA and the AFC.

The seminar is mainly aimed at the development of referees although there is also a number of coaching courses. Representing The FA, various referee workshops will be delivered by Ian Blanchard and John Ball, a goalkeeping course delivered by Martin Thomas and Gary Phillips and two coaching courses assisted by John Peacock.

The referees and coaches participating are expected to benefit from learning about the latest trends and concepts in their respective disciplines.
