Phil Parkinson, Colchester United Phil began his playing career at Southampton as an apprentice before joining Bury. He went on to play for Reading before moving to Colchester where he began his coaching career. The former Royals midfielder took very little time in settling into the role and two years ago, Colchester reached the Fifth Round of The FA Cup for the first time since the days of Bobby Roberts, but a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Sheffield United sent them out. This season they have again reached the Fifth Round where they will play Everton or Chelsea.
