In July 2000 The Football Association formed a new Division to 'lead the development of, and investment in English grassroots football'
The FA National Game Division, with a pledge to invest £35million a year for the next ten years.
Last year, the Division launched the FA Football Development Strategy 2001-2006, with one of its core objectives to implement a strategic educational programme through football.
On Tuesday November 12th at the East Midlands Conference Centre, the FA will be holding its second annual Football Development Conference titled: 'Learning through Football.'
The Conference will share good practice in using football in education, through interactive workshops and update sessions, and will also highlight the power of partnership and the power of football to deliver key agendas.
Football has a unique ability to engage young people and The FA are determined to maximise this and deliver on its overall mission of 'using the power of football to build a better future'.
Speakers from the world of Sport, Education and Government will lead the morning sessions, with Workshops in the afternoon focusing on topics as diverse as Health Education, Study Support, FA Community Clubs and Funding opportunities for Schools.
If you would like more information about the Conference, please contact
