The F.A. runs a wide range of campaigns
The Football Association recognises the wider social responsibilities it has as the governing body of the country's most popular sport. Beyond the day-to-day administrative functions The F.A. performs, much time, energy and money is spent devising and promoting campaigns designed to reflect our vision - 'to use the power of football to build a better future'.
The F.A. is at the forefront of measures aimed at making football an enjoyable and safe environment for men, women and children, and in ensuring that every section has of society has the opportunity to play and watch the game.
While continuous improvement of the running of the game at all levels remains a key theme of The Football Association's overall activities, there are some specific areas where its work with partners in the sport can be brought together under a campaign banner.
A particularly prominent area of activity at present is the Goal project, through which The F.A. is leading the way in developing good practice in child protection across the sport.
The F.A.'s other current campaigning work, covered in this section, includes promoting Fair Play (carried out in conjunction with FIFA, UEFA, the professional leagues and County Football Associations); fighting racism, (through the Let's Kick Racism Out of Football campaign); promoting the role of the Asian community in the game; promoting goalpost safety; and supporting the work of specific charities.
