At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater was suspended for one match and fined £2,000 while Ipswich Town's Alex Bruce was fined £1,500.

Bywater admitted improper conduct relating to an incident involving the two players after he had been sent off during the match at Portman Road on 14 April. His suspension comes into force with immediate effect.

Bruce denied improper conduct relating to the same incident but the Commission found it to be proved.

Both players made claims for wrongful dismissal following their red cards. A Disciplinary Commission hearing on 16 April upheld both claims and the players' three match suspensions were withdrawn as a result.
