Fagan charge proved

At an independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, a charge of violent conduct against Derby County's Craig Fagan was found proved.
Fagan had denied the charge, which related to an incident involving Liverpool's Alvaro Arbeloa during the match at Anfield on Saturday 1 September. Referee Alan Wiley confirmed that he did not see the incident, and that had he done so he would have sent Fagan off.
The Commission imposed the automatic three-match suspension for the offence, plus an additional match as they considered the denial to be frivolous.
