A Disciplinary Commission hearing today considered charges issued after incidents during the Premier League match between Reading and Sheffield United on 20 January.
The clubs admitted failing to ensure that their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
The Commission decided that Sheffield United should be fined £10,000. Reading were fined £5,000.
Reading coach Wally Downes was given a one match touchline ban and fined £2,000. He admitted a charge of improper conduct.
A charge of improper conduct against Reading academy manager Eamonn Dolan was withdrawn.
