Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton has been charged with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute.

The charge relates to Barton's conduct following the final whistle of City's match against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday 30 September.

Barton has until 12noon on Monday 9 October to admit or deny the charge. A Disciplinary Commission will hear the case on Tuesday 10 October.
