Chelsea appeal dismissed
Thursday, 27 July 2006.
At an Appeals Board hearing today, an appeal by Chelsea FC was dismissed.
Chelsea were charged with failing to control their players during a match against West Bromwich Albion on 4 March 2006.
The charge related to an incident in the 43rd minute of the match at the Hawthorns when several Chelsea players surrounded referee Mark Halsey following a foul by West Brom's Ronnie Wallwork.
At a Disciplinary Commission hearing on 27 April, Chelsea were fined £10,000 and warned as to their future conduct.
