Everton's Duncan Ferguson has been charged with violent conduct in relation to an incident involving Wigan Athletic's Pascal Chimbonda during the match on 31 January.
It occured immediately after another incident involving Wigan's Paul Scharner for which Ferguson was sent off.
He has until 6pm tomorrow to respond, and the case will be heard by a Disciplinary Commission on Friday 10 February.
