Tottenham's Mido has his claim for wrongful dismissal rejected
Mido claim rejected
Wednesday, 31 August 2005.
A Disciplinary Commission has today rejected a claim for wrongful dismissal from Tottenham Hotspur in relation to the sending-off of Mido. He will therefore serve a three match suspension with immediate effect.
Mido was sent off for serious foul play during Tottenham's Premier League match against Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Saturday, 27 August.
The FA today also charged Mido with improper conduct. The charge relates to his reaction to the sending-off and his failure to leave the field of play promptly.
He has until 6pm on Thursday 1 September to respond. The case will be heard by a Disciplinary Commission on Friday 9 September.
Today's Disciplinary Commission also rejected claims for wrongful dismissal from Burnley regarding Wayne Thomas (sent off for violent conduct against Derby County on Saturday, 27 August) and Derby County regarding Richard Jackson (sent off for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity against Watford on Monday, 29 August).
As a result, Wayne Thomas will serve a three match suspension while Richard Jackson will serve a one match suspension, both with immediate effect.
