Middlesbrough FC and Everton FC have both been charged with breaches of FA Rule E22a for failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
The charges relate to a mass confrontation during the Premier League match at the Riverside Stadium on Sunday, 16 January.
The two clubs have until Wednesday, 02 February to respond to the charges.
