Millwall FC and Liverpool FC have denied charges relating to the behaviour of their supporters during the Carling Cup match at the New Den on 26 October.
Millwall were charged with two breaches of FA Rule E22. The first alleged breach relates to the club's failure to effectively discharge its responsibility to ensure that no spectators, and/or persons purporting to be its supporters, refrained from racist and/or abusive behaviour. The second alleged breach relates to the failure to prevent spectators throwing missiles onto the pitch.
Liverpool were charged with a breach of FA Rule E22 for their alleged failure to prevent spectators, and/or persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, from conducting themselves in threatening and/or violent and/or provocative behaviour.
Both clubs have requested personal hearings, which will be scheduled in due course.
