Souness admitted 'improper conduct' during the Worthington Cup tie between Wigan Athletic and Blackburn on 17th December 2002.

The Commission reprimanded Souness and fined him £10,000. He was also ordered to pay the costs of the hearing and warned to his future conduct.

In taking into account the length of time it had taken for the case to be concluded and the admission of 'improper conduct', the Commission did not feel it was appropriate to impose a touchline ban on this occasion.
