Dugarry fined

There was a hearing at the Hawthorns today where Birmingham striker Cristophe Dugarry faced a Disciplinary Commission following a spitting incident that occurred during the Aston Villa v Birmingham Premier League match this season.

"Cristophe Dugarry was found guilty of Improper Conduct (FA Rule E1)," an FA spokesman confirmed to us on Friday. "While finding him guilty, the Commission accepted that he was not spitting directly at an opponent. They took this into account when fining him £12,500 and warning him as to his future conduct."
