Breaking News...At a disciplinary hearing today, both charges brought against Mark Bosnich were found to be proven in relation to a positive test for cocaine last year.
The first charge, under FA Rule E1, related to improper conduct, while the second, under FA Rule E26, related to testing positive for a banned substance under The FA's Doping Control Regulations.
As a consequence, Bosnich has been suspended from all football activities for 9 months, dating from 23rd December 2002 when an interim suspension order was imposed upon him. While there was no financial penalty, he was ordered to pay the costs of the Commission to a maximum of £10,000.
If Bosnich becomes a participant in English football again following his suspension, he will be subject to target testing for two years under the jurisdiction of The FA's drug testing programme.
