We can confirm that no action will be taken against Middlesbrough's George Boateng further to the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Middlesbrough on Saturday 16th November.

This follows confirmation from match referee Phil Dowd that he did see a challenge made by George Boateng on Gianfranco Zola and decided no action was merited.

We can also confirm that Chelsea have appealed against Celestine Babayaro's dismissal against Bolton during the Premier League fixture on Saturday 23rd November.
