Arsenal's Thierry Henry.
Henry to receive shirt advice
Wednesday, 11 September 2002.
The Football Association is writing to Arsenal striker Thierry Henry further to his goal celebration during last night's Premiership match against Man City.
While Henry is in breach of International Board regulations for lifting his shirt to reveal a message on his vest, on this occasion we will simply remind him of the ruling. No charge will follow.
Clearly Henry was displaying a message of goodwill, as opposed to a political view or direct advertising.
Meanwhile, The FA has written to the Norwich City manager Nigel Worthington seeking his comments regarding his dismissal to the stand for using foul and abusive language during his side's Division One match with Sheffield United on Saturday.
