The FA
Evans suspension commences
Monday, 28 September, 2009
Crawley manager Steve Evans has informed The FA he will not appeal his sanction.
Crawley manager Steve Evans informed The FA on Friday that he will not appeal against the sanction imposed for improper conduct and his suspension began immediately.
At an FA Regulatory Commission on 15 September, Evans was suspended from attending the Club’s fixtures for three match days and fined £750. This relates to an incident of improper conduct in a fixture between Crawley Town FC and Salisbury City FC on 21 February 2009.
The terms of the match day suspension state that Mr Evans cannot attend the ground on any match day involving Crawley Town FC until the Club have completed three first team fixtures, this suspension started on Friday 25 September.
Furthermore Mr Evans will serve a further 10-match touchline suspension. This follows a suspended sentence from a previous case being automatically activated following the charge against him being proved in this case.
