The FA can confirm that Torquay United goalkeeper Olafur Gottskalksson has been suspended from football indefinitely by an Independent Disciplinary Commission.
Gottskalksson was charged on 08 April with a breach of Regulation 1(c) of The FA's Doping Control Regulations, contrary to FA Rule E27, for his willing and knowing refusal to submit to drug-testing. It referred to his failure to take a test on 25 January.
He failed to reply to the charge and his case was dealt with in absentia by an Independent Disciplinary Commission on 24 May. The Commission imposed an indefinite suspension pending his appearance in front of a Commission.
The FA has applied to FIFA for the suspension to be imposed worldwide.
