Trophy and Torquay unite
Monday, 25 February 2008.
As the competition reaches its latter stages, fans were once again able to witness, appreciate and pose alongside The FA Trophy.
Torquay United's 4-1 Fourth Round triumph over Crawley Town was preceded by a visit from The FA's Customer Relations team with The Trophy also in attendance.
The FA Trophy was introduced in 1969 as a knock-out competition for senior non-League clubs and this season's competition has allowed the Customer Relations team to travel the country to meet fans in every Round. Among other topics, conversations usually surround the current football season, Wembley Stadium and The FA Trophy itself.
We also offer fans the opportunity to have their photograph taken with The Trophy and as the above photos atest, a massive interest was expressed at Plainmoor.
We would like to thank Colin Lee and all the staff at Torquay United for all their help and for ensuring things went smoothly on the day.
