FA Chairman David Bernstein has accepted an invitation from the Manchester Football Association to become an Honorary Member of the County.

Colin Bridgford, Chief Executive of the Manchester FA, contacted David Bernstein on behalf of the County offering him the position.

Bernstein, who will not be continuing his role as FA Chairman beyond May 2013, confirmed his delight in accepting the role, adding that he considered it a great privilege given the affinity he has with Manchester.
