VIDEO: Paralympic preparation
- Tuesday,
The London 2012 Paralympics get underway on Wednesday and FATV went along to catch up with the Paralympic GB Blind Football team as they prepare for the Games and a tricky group stage.
With Argentina, Iran and European rivals Spain in their initial group at the Games, no-one is under any illusions as to how tough it's going to be for the GB Blind Team, but the squad's most experienced member and captain Dave Clarke can't wait to get started.
"It's been fantasic getting together with all of the lads and the training's been really short and sharp and we're delighted to be here," Clarke told FATV, from the squad's training camp at the Sports Village in the University Of Bath.
"I don't think anything can surpass what we're about to go through, an Olympics in your home country and in a city that I know very well.
"And in a venue that I've already been to and the atmosphere was incredible."
"I just can't wait to get on the pitch and for it all to start really."
