The next generation of match officials gathered in Leicestershire for a referee's masterclass – to learn from some of the best known faces in the business.
More than 100 young match officials from regional FA's across England gathered at Hinckley United’s De Montfort Park stadium to take part in the unique opportunity.
World Cup and Champions League final referee Howard Webb was joined by FIFA listed officials Martin Atkinson and Michael Oliver, as well as Kevin Friend, Jon Moss, Mike Mullarkey and Harry Lennard, who have all officiated in the Premier League.
The day was divided into four sections, each designed to test the aptitude of the young officials in various aspects of the job – offside test, decision making in and around the box, positioning and of course the dreaded bleep test.
