The FA receives a number of inquiries each year around the use of 3G Football Turf pitches from players, referees, clubs and leagues. There is considerable interest but also a number of rumours that exist also.

The FA have produced a guidance document that aims to answer some of the most frequently asked questions along with some facts around the use of these pitches in FA competitions.

The most recent change to the use of these pitches has been The FA Cup Committees' decision to allow use of these pitches (providing they are on The FA register) up to and including the Fourth Qualifying Round for the 2012-13 FA Cup competition.
