And the pair showcased their skills to the youngsters, before taking questions from the group on life as a superstar musician, playing Premier League football and growing up in the local area.

Bizzle said: "As an ambassador for The FA's 150th anniversary, I'm pleased to have the opportunity to get involved with events like today, especially as this is an area of London that's special to me.

"The Football Mash Up initiative is a brilliant way for kids to have fun with their mates and stay playing football at an age when there are so many distractions. I wish I'd had the chance to be attend schemes like this when I was a teenager."

Cole added: "Initiatives such as the Football Mash Up are great for young kids in urban communities around the UK - helping to keep them off the streets and giving them an opportunity to play football with their friends.

"I really admire kids like the ones we've been with today and feel privileged to have the opportunity to set a good example to them and encourage them to carry on playing football as they get older."

As part of The FA’s 150th anniversary, it is shining a light on grass roots initiatives such as Football Mash Up, which provides opportunities for people around the country to play football and enjoy the nations favourite game.

Football Mash Up is a scheme specifically aimed at tackling the drop out of teenagers playing football in the 14-17 age group. The initiative provides teens with the chance to have a kick-about with their mates, run by fully qualified FA coaches, and takes places throughout England.
