Stoke City defender to serve three match ban.

Stoke City’s Andy Wilkinson has today (Thursday) accepted an FA charge of violent conduct following an incident in his side’s game against Manchester City on Saturday 15 September 2012.

The Stoke defender was the subject of retrospective action following incident with Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli, which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

Having admitted the charge Wilkinson will now serve a three match suspension with immediate effect.
