Red card received during Wigan’s match at Sunderland rescinded

Wigan Athletic’s Jordi Gomez has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld by a Regulatory Commission.

As a result, the three-match suspension handed to the player has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

Gomez had originally received a red card for serious foul play in his side’s 1-0 defeat at Sunderland on Saturday 29 September 2012.
