West Auckland manager Peter Dixon admits his side's FA Cup heartbreak pushed them 'to the limit' - but now he is plotting a different path to Wembley.
On Saturday, Dixon's side host South Shields from the Northern League Second Division in their quest for glory in The FA Vase.
But after their 4-2 penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Hednesford Town in The FA Cup replay on Tuesday, Dixon admits there will be some tired legs.
"It takes us to the limit to be honest," Dixon told TheFA.com.
"We got further in The FA Cup than we had anticipated and we played a replay on Tuesday that went to extra time.
"It really wasn’t ideal with a big game coming up on Saturday."
But Auckland have recent history on their side after reaching The FA Vase Final underneath The Arch in 2012 and losing to Dunston UTS.
And Dixon has challenged his side to go all the way to Wembley for the second time in two years.
"We are good enough to do it, we need a lot of luck too and it is not always the best team that gets to Wembley but we are capable of doing it," he added.
"The squad we have this year is better than the squad that got to Wembley two seasons ago."
The two sides played each other twice in the Northern Football League last season but West Auckland head into this tie as favourites after South Shields' relegation.
But Dixon claimed: "We are not going to underestimate them at all.
"They beat a team from our division in the previous round, and they will be approaching it as a cup final in terms of being from a lower league.
"But that is what cup football is about, and it will be ideal for them. They will be coming without any pressure and enjoying the day - the pressure is on us."
