Michael Rae and Mattie Moffat were the heroes for West Auckland Town after their late strikes stunned Bournemouth to claim a place in The Semi-Finals of The FA Carlsberg Vase.
Rae's effort broke Bournemouth hearts late on after it looked as if the ten-men would hold on for a replay. Fawzi Saadi was sent off late on and the visitors capitalised to reach the last four of the competition.
They took the lead in the 90th minute when Rae made it 1-0 before Moffat made the game safe two minutes later.
The team who finally ended Whitley Bay's four-year unbeaten run in The Vase, West Auckland Town, travelled 334 miles south to take on Wessex League side Bournemouth, who beat Billingham Synthonia to reach this stage.
Both sides were vying for a place in the last-four for the first time in their history and it was Bournemouth who looked livelier early on, with Scott Joyce a nuisance for the visitors to deal with.
But Town gradually imposed themselves on the match as the half wore on and it took a fine diving save from Bournemouth goalkeeper Max Frampton - who was brilliant against Billingham in the previous round - to deny the visitors from taking the lead.
Stuart Banks' shot just went wide for West Auckland before Rae tested Frampton and Moffat also went close for Peter Dixon's men.
The Poppies started well but West Auckland finished strongly and it took a heroic goal-line block following a scramble in the area from preventing them taking a 1-0 first half lead.
Frampton was once again called into action just after the re-start and he made two decent sides to keep the Cherries in the game.
Saadi was the hero in the last round as his stunning strike sealed that win over Billingham Synthonia but he saw red eight minutes from time for Bournemouth.
Saadi reacted to a foul by substitute Steven Brown and he pushed the Auckland man over, leaving the referee with no option but to brandish the red card.
And the visitors made their numerical advantage count when Rae nipped in to make it 1-0 and with Bournemouth reeling, Moffat smashed home a second.
The Semi-Final draw will be available on TheFA.com at around midday on Monday.
Rae and Moffat strike late to down Bournemouth and seal Semi-Final spot.
