Branislav Ivanovic’s header in the third minute of added time won the UEFA Europa League for Chelsea following a 2-1 win over Benfica in Amsterdam.
Fernando Torres gave the Blues the lead just before the hour mark but Oscar Cardozo levelled matters from the spot eight minutes later.
Cardozo forced Petr Cech to tip a 20-yard lob over the bar late on and Chelsea skipper Frank Lampard smashed a long range effort onto the bar with just two minutes remaining.
But Ivanovic won the trophy late on with a wonderful looping header from Juan Mata’s corner.
And the dramatic victory ensured the Blues became the first ever team to hold the Champions League and the Europa League at the same time.
Lampard said: "It's been an amazing time for all of us involved.
“Talk about ups and downs in the last two years! But this is a big up.
“We're a group, a team, and it was tight tonight after the long season we've had.
“No-one deserves this more than Ivanovic - he has been fantastic. You make your own luck and we stick together in this group. The club deserve it.”
